How to Make a Good Decision?

Decision making is the most important task for all the managers to perform. However, in order to do it well, there are 6 steps for them to follow. First, they have to define the problem. They need to analyze the problem in order to know about what it is going on, and to find out the causes of it. Second, they have to define their expectation about the result after they can solve the problem. They must determine that the effect which they anticipate is going to make their objectives better after the solution is made. Third, they need to gather the data of the problem. They can get this information through observation, surveys, or published research. Fourth, they have to develop alternatives. As the valid sufficient data is collected, they can think about the good solutions or choices from that data of the problems in pursuit of making alternatives. Fifth, they must evaluate those alternatives in terms of the expected result of the solution and limitation such time and money.  They can assess them carefully by looking at the good points of each alternative; determine which one is useful and which one is not necessary for them to use to solve the problem. Finally, they have to compare those alternatives and choose the alternative that they think it is the best for the solution. They must make the final decision to take the ideal alternative after they compare them attentively.  In short, if all the managers can follow all the steps above, they will be able to make the good decision making and their task will be performed well.
